Baudouin Oosterlynck (°1946 – Kortrijk, B) works as a sound artist with the phenomena of hearing and listening. Starting from an almost naive amazement he studies several aspects of acoustics. He does not let any opportunity slip away to find out how sound reaches us or how we can influence that process. He has developed as an autodidact sound artist since 1975. He designed some 200 works, 60 installations and 50 ‘listening aids’ that emphasis the relation between silence and sound. His work is regularly shown in solo and group exhibitions and performances.
