Quartet Records and Gruppo Sugar presents the premiere presentation of two previously unreleased Stelvio Cipriani groovy scores, both focused on dramas taking place in the Years of Lead (a period of social and political turmoil in Italy that lasted from the late 1960s until the late 1980s). Adimaro Sala’s LA NOTTE La Notte Dell'Ultimo Giorno (1974) chronicles the making of a fictional thesis film entitled La Fiammata as director Beppe Banti (Tony Kendall) tries to realize his vision without com…
** 2021 Repress ** If a jewel were to be chosen amongst the more than three hundred soundtracks that Maestro Stelvio Cipriani has composed during his long and prodigious career, that choice would probably not fall on the super classic and hyper known Anonimo Veneziano (the box-office and hit-parade champion who triggered the international fame of the Roman musician), but probably on his previous and less celebrated Femina Ridens – perhaps the most iconic of his soundtracks, along with Mark Il po…
Presenting for the first time on vinyl - three tracks taken from one of the most obscure and fascinating scores by Stelvio Cipriani, recorded in 1980 for Joe D’Amato’s exotic-erotic classic, Orgasmo Nero. "Seq. 1" is an incredible Afro-cosmic cinematic track, driven by superb conga work and other percussive instruments. Side B features the funkier "Seq. 3" (mid-tempo) and "Seq. 5" (downtempo) - both sexy and mysterious at the same time. Deep, obsessive atmospheres, blending together tropical c…
An amazing disco-prog tune with funky basslines, sustained by obsessive clavinet and lead by a dope space moog. A killer track still underrated and unknown today, where members of Goblin play uncredited. The whole story about the relationship between maestro Stelvio Cipriani and Goblin’s Claudio Simonetti, Fabio Pignatelli, Massimo Morante, and Agostino Marangolo is still to be written.
**2019 stock, reduced price** Anonimo Veneziano is a 1970 Italian award winning drama film written and directed by the famous Italian actor Enrico Maria Salerno on his debut as film director. The film is a melancholic and beautiful romance, an elegy to a terminal man in a dying city. There is a parallel in the story between the healthy of Enrico and the decay of Venice. Although being from 1970, this movie has surprisingly resisted to time and remains absolutely updated. The film had a great suc…

The result of this special Cipriani-Goblin rendezvous is an elegant and dark …
Another legendary jam on Fonit Library series 'Hi-Fi International' composed by maestro Stelvio Cipriani. Probably written for some obscure movie, this infamous session from 1976 recently discovered immediately became a grail for DJs and collectors. Outstanding Score vibes, several Western and Romantic movie themes in the vein of Ennio Morricone are alternated by some insane beats and spacey Avant-garde. The mindmelting groove of "Notte delle streghe" is an incredible Experimental arrangement of…

A tough, funky ‘70s instrumental score that perfectly fits the insane violence of this seldom-seen Lee Van Cleef hitman film! Quel Pomeriggio Maledetto (aka The Perfect Killer) is one of the wildest, sleaziest Eurocrime movies ever made; it ultimately got made with Lee Van Cleef as the star and featuring such sexualized violence as a female getting shot in her nether regions, a straight-razor fight with trans women and some rapes that make you feel more uneasy than do most. But no rundown of the…
Maestro Stelvio Cipriani is one of the most known and appreciated composers of Italian soundtracks, whose unmistakable style makes it one of the most appreciated and collected. "Rhythmical Movement" came out only as a promo-library LP for CAM records in 1980 and is therefore a very rare album pressed in limited quantity. But what impresses most is the high level content and, as explicitly expressed in the title, no rhythm decreases. After a jazz intro depart sequentially tunes full of funk, soul…
