2004 release (NB: item has storage wear) ** "A miniCD containing four tracks plus two remixes of the homonymous “Noi vi odiamo!”: “Gib alarm!” is an intro consisting of overlapping samples, on a dark ambient base, of the Italian translation of the homonymous lyric by Heinrich Böll read by Simone Salvatori, characterized by an excellent success in terms of sound, which creates a nice feeling of uneasiness. “Noi vi odiamo!” was born as a very rhythmic electronic piece, close to an electrowave less banal than many things that have been heard recently. “Il convento presso Sendomir” is halfway between the sounds of the very early Current 93 and those of Raison D’Etre, with the voice, full of effects and reverbs, of Damiano Mercuri that overlaps with the ambient base and the samples of monophonic choirs: a very successful piece. “A sad low – FI song for a roman caffè cabaret” is the first folk song of the game: simple but not at all banal, with a voice closer to that of the old Italian wave groups than to the dark voices of neofolk. The first remix of “Noi vi odiamo!” is truly surprising: a very successful acoustic version (except for the presence of very simple and glacial rhythmic impulses) characterized by the effects on the voice and, above all, by an almost flamenco guitar arpeggio. The second remix closes the work, practically the only electronic base of the original song."
