Alejandro Jodorowsky
Alejandro Jodorowsky is a Chilean film director, writer, actor and comics author, born in Tocopilla in 1929. He came from theatre and mime, co-founded the Panic movement with Fernando Arrabal and Roland Topor, and made the cult films El Topo (1970) and The Holy Mountain (1973), whose music he wrote in part himself. Alejandro Jodorowsky directed, wrote and starred in El Topo, and composed its score with Nacho Méndez. The soundtrack album came out on Apple Records in 1971.
