His text-sound compositions, made for live performance, radio and record, move across the line between sound anthropology and music, and often take translation and misunderstanding as part of the creative process. Field research and interviews form the basis for abstract compositions, alongside electroacoustic and acoustic collage, relational strategies, trained and untrained instrumental playing, vocal explorations and digital manipulation.
