Fabio Orsi

Fabio Orsi is an Italian musician from the south of the country, active since the mid 2000s and among the most prolific figures of the Italian underground. He works with guitar, tape loops, field recordings and a few synthesizers, folded into long drones where the organic and the electronic become hard to tell apart and a single chord can keep unfolding for a quarter of an hour. His albums have appeared on A Silent Place, Boring Machines, Preservation, Backwards and many smaller labels, often in short runs, and collaborations with My Cat Is An Alien, Valerio Cosi, Gianluca Becuzzi and others show a musician as comfortable in duos and collectives as alone with his guitar and a stack of cassettes.
