Felix Kubin

Felix Kubin (born 1969), one half of the Hamburg based futuristic noise band Klangkrieg, lives and works against the rest of the world. His activities comprise Sci-Fi Pop/Noise/animation films/radio plays/experimental broadcasting. His experiences both in electroacoustic music and strange electronic pop (that he followed already in the early 80ies with his notorious band "Die Egozentrischen Zwei" — released as "the Tetchy Teenage Tapes of Felix Kubin" on SKIPP and A-Musik) induced him to launch a vinyl record label for all kinds of Dada-electronics on the edge of pop and experimental music.

The music compiled here comes from three plays: Branko Simic's Zufall, based on a Vladimir Nabokov short story, Hollywood Elegien, a Brecht/Eisler adaptation by Schorsch Kamerun and The Raft, a radio play written by Xentos Bentos of The Homosexuals. Throughou…
House of national dog
"the first joint release of hamburg-based all-around artists felix kubin (music, sounds) and mariola brillowska (lyrics, vocals). for brillowska's 2006 theatre play of the same title, kubin composed a soundtrack in order to mess up this infamous musical by twirling colourful little building bricks around in it. this then became an album in its own right, where constructivist orchestra- and plunderphonics-collages meet gameboy-disco while melancholy-laden chansons rub against weill/eisler-like hy…
