Parkustomnie
First documentation of an improvised session by Jean-Luc Guionnet (church organ) and Miguel A. García (electronics) recorded at the Conservatorio Jesús Guridi in Vitoria-Gasteiz in 2016. Across two pieces, the duo plays the dynamics of the electroacoustic field itself: the work is calibrated so that playing it at different volumes produces materially different listening experiences, with the threshold of audibility used as a compositional parameter. Particularly quiet, post-reductionist.
Siticidelhous
Companion volume to Parkustomnie, drawn from the same 2016 sessions at the Conservatorio Jesús Guridi in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Guionnet (church organ) and García (electronics) again use volume as a compositional variable: the music is engineered so that at low playback levels the performance feels restrained and exquisitely subtle, while at high volume entirely new sonic strata emerge in overwhelming detail. Electroacoustic improvisation that turns the amplifier into part of the score.
Nonmenabsorbium
Prolific Swiss electronic composer Francisco Meirino (Misantropic Agenda, Entr'acte, Antifrost) and Basque country’s most prominent experimental musician Miguel A. Garcia aka Xedh (Crónica, Idealstate) team up and go for the rawest yet most carefully built electronic experimentation. No-input mixer, modular synth, field recordings & magnetic fields find themselves at the core of this true gem of radical electronic music, savvily handcrafted with by two experts of the genre.
