With love
Georgia Denham (b.1997) draws on anecdotal experience to create her music. She studied with Andrew Hamilton at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and now with Richard Causton at the University of Cambridge for her PhD. She lives with her husband, a theoretical computer scientist, and their many beloved plants. “This collection of chamber music from 2018–2022 wakes scores I thought were long since sleeping, where I first learned to write the delicate sounds I loved. With music written during my studi…
Supports & Surfaces
Paolo Griffin is a composer and curator based in Toronto/Tkarón:to whose music has been described as placing “… the listener in a kind of sonic microgravity” (PANM360) and as “…uncompromising and thoroughly engrossing.” (LvT). Paolo’s work involves ongoing research about the sounding and perception of microtonal rational intonation (Just Intonation) combined with a rigorous, process-based approach to sonic form and structure. The work he creates explores the creation of colour/shading/densities …
Ricercari for rainy days
Eden Lonsdale is a composer of acoustic music living and working between London and Berlin. His music focuses on exploring the various ways that movement and stasis can co- exist, as well as the inter-connectedness of harmony, timbre, melody and rhythm. Often using very limited materials, his dense and immersive sound-worlds attempt to draw the ear into the smallest details and hope to inspire the listener’s self-guided exploration into the music’s manifold layers. The three pieces from this alb…

*Limited Edition CD in Digipack with Liner Notes.* “Well, it was just as I thought, the pathall but obliterated-We had moved thenfrom the first to the second stage, from the dream to the proportion. And look-here is the line between, resemblingthis line from which our words emerge;moonlight breaks through.Shadows on the snowcast by pine trees”[...]“Every hour or so, my friend turned to wave at me,or I believed she did, though the dark obscured her.Still her presence sustained me:some of you will kno…
Tracings
*Limited Edition CD in Digipack with Liner Notes.* Everything you will hear on this disc is the result of a short but intense collaboration: Germaine travelled from Heerlen in the Netherlands to the East Bohemian city of Pardubice to work with the Prague Quiet Music Collective for a week, improvising and rehearsing her music and two pieces by Ian Mikyska. A shared understanding and smooth sailing. Sounds between pitches and noise. Gentle gestures. Slow time in a slow city. Many thanks to Zdeněk …
( )hole complex (per/formance/eration)
*Limited Edition CD in Digipack with Liner Notes.* “Holey Space, or more accurately ( )hole complex (connoting a degenerate wholeness), speeds up and triggers a particular subversion in solid bodies such as earth. It unfolds holes as ambiguous entities -- oscillating between surface and depth -- within solid matrices, fundamentally corrupting the latter’s consolidation and wholeness through perforations and terminal porosities. For a solid body, the vermiculation of holes undermines the coherenc…
Without Persistent Environments
Realized in collaboration with Riley Leitch, this album is inspired by the listening interactions of chamber music, the immersive potentials of drone music, psychoacoustic phenomena, rational intonation, field recordings, and experiences of deep sound in deep time.
Illuminations
*Limited Edition CD in Digipack with Liner Notes.* "The Illuminations are a collection of solo and chamber works with a shared compositional language, written between 2016 and 2021. The pieces are composed as software scores, which build the musical work in real-time during each performance. Notes are introduced to the players on animated staves, slowly fading into view and then away again. Using opacity as dynamic, the musicians perform the animated staves as slow loops, with motives and contra…
this is a place where i can sit with clarity
*Limited Edition Handmade CDR in cardboard string sleeve with liner notes and album art.* Intuitive drones that are sometimes spectral. The electronics setup involved resynthesising a few prominent harmonics from a signal as sine tones, moving between said harmonics and sometimes modulating harmonics from one signal with harmonics from another.
cubes
*Limited Edition Handmade CDR in cardboard string sleeve with liner notes and album art.* "cubes (2020) commissioned, interpreted and recorded by Erik Carlson and Greg Stuart, is a set of instructions for constructing sound and recording events. The score consists of 24 “cubes,” rectangular figures containing various graphics, which are the building blocks of sound for the piece. Throughout the process of realization, Erik and Greg devised and structured these building blocks depending on variou…
No grief without joy
*Limited Edition Handmade CDR in cardboard string sleeve with liner notes and album art.* "A collection of five pieces, made between 2016 and 2019, in a short period that echoes, in part, the grief after my mother’s passing at the end of 2015. These pieces bring together artists from (a.o) Cape Town, The Hague, Toronto, Torino, and Johannesburg. Listening back to these earlier pieces I can discern feelings of emptiness, fleeting moments of joy and play. It is the unending sense of absence versus…
Muted Stones: A Tribute to Yadollah Roayee
*Limited Edition Handmade CDR in cardboard string sleeve with liner notes and album art.* "During the period spanning from 2016 to 2020, I underwent a profound realization that led me to feel lost within myself. As each year passed, I found myself feeling a sense of rupture and absence, far from home. In search for comfort, I turned to my native language of Farsi. However, even within the confines of my language, I was unable to escape the feeling of fragmentation. Each sentence I read seemed to…
erosion and growth
*Limited Edition Handmade CDR in Cardboard String Sleeve with Liner Notes and album art.* "In loving memory of Kathryn Eagle. This piece uses a record (a data structure) resulting from a field recording. It began with a waterfall in Washington (Little Mashel Falls) near my parents’ home, which I recorded in my mother’s final months of life. A brain cancer slowly took away her abilities, beginning with her speech. A loquacious person her entire life before this, I had to learn to hear and underst…
Breathe Into The Forest, Into The Bird, Into The Song
*Limited Edition Handmade CDR* "One day i invited my friends home to be the echo of a forest. We sat in a circle, we lighted on some candles and we listened to the wood of a shruti box. Through healing ourselves we healed the forest, the bird and the song. We breathed, pulsed & became. Sound." - Ángeles Rojas Limited Edition CDR in Cardboard String Sleeve with Liner Notes and album art.
A Practice In Taking Up Space
*Limited Edition Handmade CDR* "All of the following are improvisations and workings-outs, captured at the time by whatever recording device I had at hand. I don’t know what they are: does the act of recording change the nature of a thing?" - Lottie Sadd Limited Edition CDR in Cardboard String Sleeve with Liner Notes and album art.
Six Studies
*Limited Edition Handmade CDR* The pieces in this collection are studies, of a sort, and all written in 2021 or 2022. Along with most other things I’ve produced in thesame period, there’s an unintended, relentless sentimentality to them – inevitable, I suppose, if working with diatonic clusters. They’re all very simple, and, with the exception of Piano and Accompaniment, aren’t really “compositions” so much as demonstrations of what instruments are busy doing while we might be busy thinking about…
Spaces
*Limited Edition Handmade CDR* Spaces, for solo vibraphone, was composed in 2021 for percussionist Tony Oliver in celebration of more than thirty years of musical collaboration and friendship. The work is nearly 80 minutes in duration when performed in its entirety, but its eight 10-minute iterations (1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b, 4a, 4b) may also be programmed individually or in suites. Each iteration labeled "a" begins with a group of three pitch-classes that gradually combine with a second trichord…
Vessels: Spellbook in the House of Hearts
Songs from Vessels: Spellbook in the House of Hearts is a collection of songs from my VR micro-opera cycle Vessels. Each song is a kind of evocative painting, intertwining technology with the sensual, the poetic, and the eerie. Spells 37 and 25, depict a gramophone with a spider at its base and a snake as the speaker.
