Realized in collaboration with Riley Leitch, this album is inspired by the listening interactions of chamber music, the immersive potentials of drone music, psychoacoustic phenomena, rational intonation, field recordings, and experiences of deep sound in deep time.

*Limited Edition CD in Digipack with Liner Notes.* "“Without persistent environments, the sense of confusion and flux might only worsen” superimposes a live trombone part over recordings I made of Riley playing in situ in several distinct soundscapes on the North side of Chicago: my apartment in Rogers Park, the shores of Lake Michigan at Loyola Beach, and the reverberant sanctuary of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. Tones drift over and against one another, shaped by the acoustic properties and environmental sounds of the spaces in which they were recorded. As these spaces are cut between and overlaid, the sound of the live trombone is positioned just forward of them, articulating the space in which it is performed.

“Rotations Placement : Providence Everywhere” is a long-form monolith of tone and tuning. The piece employs a live-looping setup to continuously layer and replace tones in a cycling pattern of ultra-slow-motion arpeggios that coalesce into a chorale of just-intonation harmonies adorned by a shimmering halo of overtones." – Noah Jenkins

All music composed by Noah Jenkins. Riley Leitch, trombone.
