Arnold Mathes is a self-taught synthesist from Brooklyn-USA whose work was once characterized by Music Technology as "ambient music for experimental synth freaks." He ranks among the most prolific of the decade, self-releasing over 35 cassettes in the '80s, and "Mathes 1986-89" is a collection of best tracks taken from them.
Varying Degrees Of Alive
**Edition of 200 copies** ‘Lantscap’ is a collaboration between Ian Hawgood and Warren Kroll (Forrest, High Tides) which mostly focuses on guitar and vocal loops processed through stomp boxes. Their work has been compared to the ‘Mirror’ releases of Andrew Chalk and Christoph Heemann. ‘Varying Degrees Of Alive’ was mastered by James Plotkin, with photography by Toshiba Watanabe, and was released on white and baby blue vinyl on the Infraction label in 2013.
