Water is never only a subject here. It is a recording site, a material, a way of organising time. A tidal river carries the noise of a city out to the marshes; a pond at midnight turns out to be full of bullfrogs that were never meant to live there; three glasses become an instrument. Some of these records were made by leaving a machine on a shore overnight and coming back for it. Others were made indoors, with water as an idea about flow, sediment and disappearance. Played in order they move from open landscape down to the scale of a bath.
