M'Bamina

A long-lost jewel of European Afro-fusion, African Roll captures the explosive meeting of African polyrhythms, funk grooves, and 1970s Italian nightclub culture. Recorded in Turin by the multinational ensemble M’Bamina, the album blends Congolese roots, Afro-Latin colours, and raw dancefloor energy into a spontaneous, hybrid sound far ahead of its time. Originally released in limited quantities and overlooked, it has since become a sought-after collector’s classic. This official reissue restores a rare document of migration, nightlife, and cross-cultural experimentation — a bridge between Africa and Europe that still feels vibrantly alive today.
