** Limited Edition in Gatefold cover with 12-page LP-size booklet ** Poems: Written, Drawn, Selected and Read by Jimmie Durham is the first vinyl record published in the LP series of the Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (n.b.k.) founded by Marius Babias and Sergio Edelsztein (Ediciones Inauditas). The recording took place in Berlin in April 2021. Jimmie Durham reads from his books Columbus Day (1983), Poems That Do Not Go Together (2012), and Particle / Word Theory (2020), as well as other, unpublished poems. The record includes an accompanying booklet with drawings by Jimmie Durham and a text by the poet Ammiel Alcalay, who locates Durham's poetry in American literature.

Excerpt from the Text by Ammiel Alcalay - For Jimmie Durham, Poet: Although I wonder why Jimmie Durham isn’t generally thought of as a poet or a writer in the US, actually, once I start thinking about it, I don’t have to wonder that much, because he is, or should be thought of, in relation to a company I know well, but a company that continually seems to be losing ground. I remember encountering Jimmie’s first book, Columbus Day, when it came out in 1983, and thinking, even then, even for me, steeped in the furthest out of poetry and poetics: “ah, here is something, something different, something of great beauty and truth, but also filled with something like documentation, reports, dispatches from the front.” Need one ask for anything more?
