Formed from the ashes of The Deviants, with key members Paul Rudolph, Duncan Sanderson, and Russell Hunter, and later joined by Twink and Larry Wallis, the Pink Fairies became known for their anarchic spirit, experimental jams, and close ties to the Ladbroke Grove scene. Their music reflects a wild blend of psychedelic improvisation, proto-punk energy, and riff-driven hard rock, drawing comparisons to contemporaries like MC5 and influencing later acts from punk to stoner rock
The first disc, "Never Never Land," captures the band’s search for identity, mixing proto-punk tracks like "Do It" and "Teenage Rebel" with psychedelic explorations such as "Uncle Harry’s Last Freak Out."
