"We will return to the mountains" was the vow of Inti Peredo, who took over Che Guevara's Bolivian guerrilla after Che's death in 1967, and this uncatalogued LP is a tribute compilation assembled around it: Nicolás Guillén reading his poem Che Comandante, Carlos Puebla, Silvio Rodríguez's Fusil contra fusil, Noel Nicola, Jean Ferrat's Les Guerrilleros, Ivan Della Mea's Creare uno, due, molti Vietnam, a Trío Los Guerrilleros, a French Che song by François Deguelt and, closing side two, the anthem of the Bolivian ELN played by a military band with the choir of Cuban radio.
The Della Mea track and the Italian typography point to an Italian solidarity pressing of around 1968-70, the kind of object that circulated through party sections and student groups rather than shops. No label, no date, matrix LD-COR. A document of the moment when Che was still a project rather than a T-shirt.
