Uscire da Fuori
Originally from Sicily but living in Basel, electronic composer Marco Papiro confirms his eccentric and multifaceted personality. The sound articulation of his analog synthesizers flows into in an artificial hyperrealism of great thematic and expressive variation. The tracks unfold between ascending cosmic moments, more ecstatic meditative tones, symphonic planetary floods, exotic Afrodelic and psycho-Andean drifts. Papiro synthesises and converts echoes of acoustic wind instruments (oboe, recor…
Noor
*300 copies limited edition* Yamila presents her second album on Umor Rex, Noor. Following Visions, Yamila returns with a work that merges nature-experience listening with expansive musicality. Noor was born from her time in an ecologist community, where she sought refuge in stillness, learned from animals, and tried to forget the human. In this communion with nature, she discovered a new compositional approach: reducing acoustic noise to allow unheard voices to emerge, transforming music into a…

Music To Watch Seeds Grow By 007: Brian D'souza
Opening its second growing season with a new work from Scottish producer Brian d'Souza, also known as Auntie Flo and his ‘Plants Can Dance’ project, the new Seeds release is an ambient composition that draws on botanical research into how sunflowers interact, cooperate, and compete beneath the soil.  ‘Plants Can Dance’ considers the underground world of sunflowers, where root systems engage in complex social behaviours. Recent studies have shown that sunflowers exhibit spatial awareness and a fo…
Fernande, Cecile
After a series of experiments and scores, Natasha Pirard returns with her most intuitive and personal project yet. Turning inward, she dedicates the work to her mother and late grandmother, whose caring presence shaped her life. A photobook of songs rustling through delicate pages of memory—the album weaves her voice, field recordings, synthesizer, and violin into an ode to the lasting influence of her matrilineal line. Fernande, Cecile reflects on these two women: Pirard lost her grandmother at…
Music From Alejo
Following the reissue of The Pocket of Fever, Ambient Sans presents the second chapter in Masahiro Sugaya’s visionary work for the avant-garde performing arts company Pappa Tarahumara.
Electric Voyeur / Moonlight, Again
*300 copies limited edition* Big Blood, the intrepid voyagers into the outer reaches of hallucinatory noise-rock and eclectic freakadelia opt for a new path along the circuit board of creativity. Electric Voyeur was made by applying strict limitations using home-made electronic instruments and voice alone. The result is an album that is as trippy as it is devotional in its exquisite craftsmanship. The glorious scent of solder and silicon wafts all over this music. Crafted over the course of ten …
Oblivion
*150 copies limited edition* A surprise album by bvdub and zakè. No album description. No songs available to listen to. Must buy blindly.

“rat” is an electronic project born from the gutters of Brussels in 2024 by long-standing collaborators “neither” and “Milius.” After 15 years of hidden experiments they have been assembling a sonic language where glitch, ritualised circuitry and spectral noise merge. Their debut release "home" (Futura Resistenza) unfolds as a labyrinth of disjointed rhythms, haunted textures and fleeting moments that feel slightly out of time. Very little is known. All you can do is listen.
Entités
2010 release ** Limited numbered edition of 142 copies. Special cardboard sleeve. Entities is the spectral realization of a process of transformation, or even a mutation, of a sound material stemming from recordings of tracks originally created to be played in concert. These works for voice, bass and double bass, processed with computer, were organically modified to insure their concrescence, their future, and confront them with the game of difference. After all, these entities come from everywh…
The Day of Forever
HDK is honored to present a new artist, Alo, who debuts with an album of romantic Berlin-school electronic music in which each track is a fragment of a suspended world, a contemplative and restless electronic experience: hypnotic sequences, pulsating synthesizers, and melancholic textures evoke abandoned cities, decaying technologies, and forgotten memories. The album (and its title) is a tribute to the English writer J.G. Ballard (1930–2009) and his frightening imaginative power.
Post-Asiatic: Lost War Dream Music
2007 release ** "After my recent trip to Asia, my interest in oriental music has definitely greatly increased and then this release fell into my lap... Serendipity or coincidence, I eagerly went through this double bill, listening to all the nuances and influences I could trace back to my trip or recognize the origin of... There is definitely a lot going on but sadly the recording quality didn't seem to have always been determining factor in the choice of material. The release is dubbed as a CD …

Rosy Parlane is a musician from Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand. His work combines piano, guitar, electronics, and field recordings to create music that sits somewhere between composition and environment – less about performance, more about presence. Parlane first became known in the early 1990s as part of Thela, a trio whose exploratory sound bridged noise, improvisation, and minimal rock forms. Later, as one half of Parmentier with Dion Workman, he explored digital minimalism an…
Open Window

This new single was created with the atmosphere of the listening bar Studio Mule in mind, and showcases Kuniyuki’s unmatched ability to bridge dance music with sophisticated musical expression. Kin

Since the release and subsequent praise for Peel, the artist has been a staple on the electronic scene performing on numerous stages and festivals worldwide in tandem with a flood of media recognition. Kin could be construed as the second child following Peel. The project came out of initial discussions with…
S’enfouir
2012 release ** An excellent CD, I thought, full of sparkling pieces, strange moves and with an exciting brief character per track. Certainly moving around various musical circles. It's the 20th publication - out of 24, one for each hour of a day - produced by &records (Michel F. Côté & Fabrizio Gilardino).
Palétuvier (Rouge)
2010 release ** Musically, the trio succeed in conveying a true “Heart Of Darkness” soundscape with their playing, painting a dark green hell where we can feel the moss and fungus dripping down our backs, and Werner Herzog is never more than five feet away in his questing canoe. The music also suggests the grandeur, the solitary and unknowable nature of these grand old men of the forest who probably keep the secrets of the ancients locked up in their thick bark. Truly atmospheric! It's the 14th …
À L'inattendu Les Dieux Livrent Passage
2010 release ** Nine pieces of some great orchestral music. Moving slowly, like gentle minimal music, which slowly, over the course of these pieces built up. It combines improvisation (although sparsely here), with minimal glissandi and small melodies, which rise up from those gentle waves of heavily and heavenly layered small orchestral sounds. Think Olivia Block, but perhaps with a bit more improvisation in some parts. Great chamber music, relaxed atmosphere, jolly fine music. It's the 9th pub…
