Acid Mothers Reynols is the meeting of two of underground music's most untamed groups: Acid Mothers Temple, the Japanese psychedelic collective led by guitarist Kawabata Makoto, and Reynols, the Argentinian experimentalists built around the drummer and singer Miguel Tomasín. One side brings cosmic, high-volume space rock and endless improvisation; the other a conceptual, intuitive approach to sound that has always refused the usual rules. Across the distance between Japan and Buenos Aires the two became a single organism, letting the music grow by accumulation rather than composition. The result is raw, joyful and unclassifiable: psychedelia pulled apart and reassembled by two scenes that share a love for the free and the absurd.
