Af Ursin

Af Ursin is the solo name of Timo van Luijk, a self-taught sound artist and improviser based in Belgium. He has released music under this name regularly since 1996, playing acoustic strings, wind instruments, percussion and sound objects. Af Ursin records are built mostly on acoustic sources, with blurred and shifting timbres. Van Luijk began making music in the mid-1980s and co-founded the experimental music and multimedia collective Noise-Maker's Fifes with Geert Feytons in 1989. He set up La Scie Dorée, a private label that carries most of his work.
