Alvarius B

Alvarius B is the solo alias of Alan Bishop, bassist and vocalist of the Phoenix experimental group Sun City Girls, in which he played with his brother Richard Bishop and drummer Charles Gocher. Under this name he records songs, acoustic guitar sketches and skewed covers of pop songs. Bishop also co-founded the label Sublime Frequencies with Hisham Mayet. Alvarius B releases began in 1994 with a self-titled album of short acoustic guitar pieces recorded at home during the 1980s. Sun City Girls ended after Gocher's death in 2007.
