Andy Moor

Andy Moor is an English guitarist, born in London and based in Amsterdam. He started out in Edinburgh with Dog Faced Hermans, a group that mixed post-punk with traditional tunes and improvisation. In 1990 he moved to the Netherlands after an invitation to join the Dutch band The Ex, where he has played ever since. Away from the band he works in free improvisation, with sound poets and on film soundtracks. Andy Moor co-founded Kletka Red in 1995 with Tony Buck, Joe Williamson and Leonid Soybelman, and in 2001 he set up the Amsterdam label Unsounds with Yannis Kyriakides and Isabelle Vigier.
