Andy Stott
Andy Stott is an electronic producer based in Manchester, England, who has released his records on the Modern Love label since the mid-2000s. He began in dub techno and later moved to a slower, heavier sound built on bass and texture. He is best known for Luxury Problems (2012), which features the voice of his former piano teacher Alison Skidmore and was named Best New Music by Pitchfork. Stott's first album, Merciless, came out in 2006. The two 2011 EPs Passed Me By and We Stay Together marked the turn toward his darker, bass-heavy style.
