Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso

Banco del Mutuo Soccorso is an Italian progressive rock group formed in Rome in 1969 by the keyboard-playing brothers Vittorio and Gianni Nocenzi. Singer Francesco Di Giacomo joined in 1971 and stayed until his death in 2014. The debut Banco del Mutuo Soccorso and the concept album Darwin!, about evolution, both came out in 1972, followed by Io sono nato libero in 1973. After signing with Manticore Records, the group released Banco (1975), with English versions of earlier songs. In the 1980s it moved toward shorter, pop-leaning songs and used the name Banco for a while.
