Bee Mask

Bee Mask was the project of Chris Madak, an American electronic musician who began releasing noise and drone recordings in the mid-2000s, mostly on small-run cassettes and LPs. He was one of the first artists on Spectrum Spools, the Editions Mego sub-label, which issued Canzoni dal Laboratorio del Silenzio Cosmico, the retrospective Elegy for Beach Friday and, in 2012, When We Were Eating Unripe Pears, a record assembled over several years from sessions in Cleveland and Philadelphia. Madak, by then based in Philadelphia, was named a Pew Fellow in music in 2015.
