Bo Anders Persson

Country: Sweden

Bo Anders Persson is a Swedish composer and guitarist who came out of the Stockholm avant-garde of the mid-1960s. He made tape and loop pieces shaped by the music of Terry Riley, then founded Pärson Sound in 1967 with Arne Ericsson, the band that later became International Harvester, Harvester and Träd, Gräs & Stenar. He is best known for that line of groups, which joined Riley's repetition to rock and Swedish folk music. Persson sang in a Baptist church in Stockholm as a child and later studied harmony and counterpoint, spending a short time at the city's music academy.
