Dharma
Dharma was a French free jazz group active in the first half of the 1970s, with roots in the radical left politics that followed May 1968. Built around the trio of Jacques Mahieux, Michel Gladieux and Patricio Villarroel, it moved between free jazz, spiritual jazz and a free rock close to fusion, and is known today for four rare LPs released between 1970 and 1973. Dharma debuted in 1970 as a quintet, with Jef Sicard and Gérard Coppéré joining the trio, on Mr Robinson, the most directly free jazz record of the four.
