Elizabeth Vogler is a French singer, composer and improviser who grew up in Béarn, in the South-West of France, and trained in musicology and electroacoustic composition. For more than a decade she has sung in polyphonic ensembles and made electroacoustic works built on voice and drones, layering choir-like voices, long tones, electronics and field recordings “somewhere between imagined traditional song and unstable electronic ritual”. Her music increasingly leans toward folk, drawing on Bulgarian vocal techniques and the Occitan traditions of Béarn. After Les Mains Tordues (Bientôt Veuves, 2024) she recorded Au Nom Deus Asos for harmonium and voice in the church of Lescun, in the Pyrénées, first issued on cassette by Billo in 2025 and on vinyl by Holidays Records in 2026.
