Father Murphy

Father Murphy was an Italian band active from 2001 to 2018, formed as a trio by Federico Zanatta (as Freddie Murphy), Chiara Lee and drummer Vittorio Demarin. The band played a psychedelic music shaped by Catholic guilt and imagery, and was part of the scene known as Italian occult psychedelia. Its concerts sat between rite and performance. Father Murphy debuted on Madcap Collective, a label Zanatta co-founded, and moved to Aagoo and Boring Machines with ...And He Told Us to Turn to the Sun (2008). Anyway, Your Children Will Deny It followed in 2012.
