Country: Italy

Giovanni Fusco (1906-1968) was an Italian composer, pianist and conductor who wrote film music from 1936 onward. Born in Sant'Agata dei Goti near Benevento, he died in Rome. He is known above all for his work with Michelangelo Antonioni, scoring most of the director's films made between 1948 and 1964. Fusco's Antonioni scores run from the short N.U. through Cronaca di un amore (1950), L'Avventura (1960) and L'Eclisse (1962) to Il deserto rosso (1964). La notte was scored by Giorgio Gaslini instead.
