Grand River
Grand River is the project of Aimée Portioli, a Dutch-Italian composer, multi-instrumentalist and sound designer. Born in the Netherlands, she moved to Italy as a child, lived for years in Milan and now works in Berlin. Her music joins synthesizers, piano and field recordings in ambient and experimental forms, and her albums include All Above on Editions Mego and the wind-based Tuning the Wind. Portioli studied classical guitar and piano as a child and also works as a sound engineer, having co-founded TapTempo Studio. Her early releases appeared on Idra Records and MagmatiQ.
