Greg Malcolm is a guitarist from Christchurch, New Zealand. After writing music for theatre and short films and playing in the surf-klezmer band Surfing USSR, he spent a period in Berlin in the 1990s before returning home. His solo method uses several guitars at once: a modified instrument with extra pickups that catch body and string noise, plus floor guitars struck with the foot or set droning with an e-bow or small fans. The Homesick for Nowhere appeared on Bruce Russell's Corpus Hermeticum in 2002, and Kraak later issued Swimming in It, recorded live without overdubs. He has played with Tetuzi Akiyama and Eugene Chadbourne.
