Hiromasa Suzuki
Hiromasa Suzuki (1940-2001) was a Japanese pianist, keyboardist, composer and arranger, born in Tokyo and known by the nickname Corgen. He moved between jazz, film, television and anime music, and led the fusion group The Players. His early 1970s albums Rock Joint Biwa and Rock Joint Cither - Silk Road set jazz-rock against traditional instruments. Suzuki studied economics at Keio University and began playing professionally while still a student, in George Kawaguchi's Big 4+1, before joining Terumasa Hino's group, where his arrangements drew attention.
