Igor Wakhevitch
Igor Wakhévitch (born 1948) is a French composer, son of the film art director Georges Wakhévitch. In the 1970s he made a series of albums that joined orchestral and choral writing, rock instruments and early synthesizers, beginning with Logos in 1970, and he wrote the music for Salvador Dalí's opera Être Dieu. Wakhévitch followed Logos with Docteur Faust (1971), Hathor, Les Fous d'Or, Nagual (1977) and Let's Start (1979). Être Dieu, from 1974, set a libretto by Manuel Vázquez Montalbán. In 1998 Fractal Records collected the 1970s albums in the six-CD box Donc.
