Illusion of Safety
Illusion of Safety is the project of the American sound artist Dan Burke, active since 1983 and rooted in the Chicago area (Burke is now based in Elgin, Illinois). Burke has worked alone and with changing collaborators, moving between industrial noise, electroacoustic composition and dense collages of found sound. Dan Burke founded the Complacency label with Thymme Jones of Cheer-Accident.
