Jason Crumer

Jason Crumer is an American noise artist. His records set drone and ambient passages against harsh, grinding noise, and his self-titled album draws on field recordings of slamming doors, creaking hinges, footsteps and traffic. He also runs the No Rent label. Jason Crumer was a member of the group facedowninshit, with which he played a very large number of shows before cutting back on touring. In a 2009 interview, given while living in Oakland, California, he traced his start to making rap tapes with two boom boxes and to guitar lessons as a child.
