Johannes Schollhorn
Johannes Schöllhorn (born 30 June 1962 in Murnau) studied composition with Klaus Huber, Emmanuel Nunes and Mathias Spahlinger, music theory with Peter Förtig and conducting with Péter Eötvös. He taught at the Zurich University of the Arts from 1995 to 2000, was professor at the Hannover Musikhochschule from 2001 to 2009 and has held a professorship in Cologne since 2009. He has received commissions from Ensemble Modern, Ensemble intercontemporain, Klangforum Wien and the WDR and SWR orchestras, and won the Praetorius Musikpreis in 2009. Mode issued clouds and sky (2013), with the JACK Quartet, Ensemble S and the WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln.
