Katharina Rosenberg

Katharina Rosenberger (born 1971 in Zurich) is a Swiss composer. She studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, the Royal Academy of Music in London and Columbia University, where she earned a doctorate under Tristan Murail. Her work often combines music with video, visual arts and theatre. She has been a professor at the University of California, San Diego since 2018, and received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2019 and the Swiss Music Prize in 2023. Tempi Agitati (Mode, 2022) is performed by Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart and built on Petrarch's texts and madrigal settings by Willaert and Rore.
