Little Skull

Little Skull is the long-running solo project of Dean Brown, a musician from Hamilton, New Zealand, who now lives in the UK. He plays all the instruments himself and works in an instinctive, spontaneous way. The music is slow and melancholy, mostly acoustic, and the longer pieces move into more experimental territory. Before Little Skull, Dean Brown played in the bands Negative Eh and Nova Scotia. The English label Horn of Plenty has issued several Little Skull records, among them the 10-inch Lower Hope Reach. Little Skull has also performed at Cafe Oto in London.
