Magda Mayas

Magda Mayas - piano, harpsichord, harmonium. Based in Berlin, Germany, Mayas studied jazz and improvisation at Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Universität der Künste Berlin in 2001 under Misha Mengelberg, and completed a diploma at Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler under Georg Gräwe in 2005. Developing a vocabulary utilizing both the inside as well as the exterior parts of the piano, using preparations and objects, she explores textural, linear and fast moving sound collage.
