Marc Hurtado

Marc Hurtado is a French musician, performer, poet, painter and filmmaker. In 1977 he founded the duo Étant Donnés with his brother Eric Hurtado, an industrial duo with a long parallel output of films. He is known for his work with Alan Vega of Suicide and with Lydia Lunch, and records solo as Sol Ixent. Alan Vega sang on four tracks of the Étant Donnés album Re-Up (1999), and the two later made Sniper (2010), with Vega singing over Hurtado's music. First issued in a small run by Le Son Du Maquis, it was reissued by Munster in 2016.
