Metgumbnerbone

Country: United Kingdom

Metgumbnerbone was an English improvising group active in the early and mid 1980s around Newcastle upon Tyne. Its members recorded ritual, percussive industrial music in abandoned sites such as derelict factories, railway tunnels, caves and woods, using portable cassette machines. The group's best-known record is the LP Ligeliahorn. Metgumbnerbone recorded Ligeliahorn live and improvised among industrial ruins by the River Tyne in Newcastle, and the album came out on A-Mission Records. The performers credited on it are John Mylotte, Mike Watson, Philip Rupenus and Richard Rupenus.
