Pita

Pita was the recording name of Peter Rehberg (1968-2021), a British-Austrian electronic composer and label manager. Born in Tottenham and raised in Hertfordshire, he moved to Austria, his father's country, and became part of the Vienna label Mego in the mid-1990s. He is known for his solo albums as Pita and for running Mego, which he relaunched in 2006 as Editions Mego after the original label closed in 2005. Rehberg first recorded on Fridge Trax (1995), made with Ramon Bauer and Andi Pieper of General Magic.
