Rolf Trostel
Rolf Trostel is a German electronic musician associated with the Berlin School of synthesizer music since the late 1970s. His early albums are built around the PPG wavetable synthesizer. He is known for the records he released in the early 1980s, among them Inselmusik, Two Faces and Der Prophet. Rolf Trostel opened Inselmusik with a piece driven by a Roland CR-78 drum machine. Der Prophet moved towards a more rhythmic and streamlined sound than the debut. The German label Bureau B later reissued his early albums in remastered editions.
