Rudolf Eb.er
Rudolf Eb.er, born in Switzerland in 1965, is an actionist and sound artist whose work descends through the lowest regions of the human psyche. Under the names Runzelstirn & Gurgelstøck and Schimpfluch-Gruppe he combines an abreactive, cleansing actionism with sonic rituals and psychoacoustics, generating audio-environments into which he plants grotesque psycho-magic rituals and tantric exercises meant to trigger a higher awareness. His performances, close to Viennese Actionism, use silence, sudden violence, the body and the voice as much as recorded sound, and have made him a divisive figure of the noise underground.
