*200 copies limited release* Tip! The early collaboration between Maso Yamazaki (aka Masonna) and Rudolf Eb.er (aka Runzelstirn & Gurgelstøck) was based on the exchange of tape recordings and ideas by mail; they were guided more by a shared sensibility regarding extreme music and art than by a similar musical style. The first result of this cooperation was released in 1995 on Eb.er’s own Swiss label, Schimpfluch, as a cassette titled “Clitoris Projectile Pump Action”. In 1998, they performed as a duo for the first time under the name Eb.ersonna at Tokyo’s Club Shelter, sharing the stage with Hanatarash and Universal Indians (featuring, among others, Tetsuo Sakaibara and Masami Akita on percussion).

In the years that followed, Masonna and Runzelstirn & Gurgelstøck frequently appeared together at "Noise May-Day"—an annual gathering of Japanoise artists (and representatives of related genres) such as Incapacitants, Jojo Hiroshige of Hijokaidan, Monde Bruits, Pain Jerk, Solmania and many others, organized by Maso at the legendary live venue "Bears" in Osaka. During a later meeting in 2018—also at "Bears"—they discussed their shared interest in raw black metal as well as their respective new projects: Maso’s "Controlled Death" and Rudolf’s "Conscious Dying" (along with the latter’s newly founded, Japan-based label, Om Kult). This late-night conversation led to the release of the split LP “Death Ceremonies” via Cold Spring, followed by the collaboration LP “Serenità Per I Morti Viventi” released on Phage Tapes.

In late 2024, Maso invited Rudolf to join his solo project and participate as a permanent member in the live rituals of Controlled Death. Since then, they have been performing in this duo lineup in Kyoto and Osaka. This release by Om Kult—the first not to present exclusively works from Rudolf’s solo output—comprises studio recordings based on live rituals performed by Controlled Death as duo, as well as further developed ideas; they were recorded in 2026 at the “Death Control” and “Om Kult Osaka” studios. The interior artwork of the full-color 6-panel digipak is intended only for viewers who wish to engage with it consciously.

A note to those it concerns: This upload contains no form of “exploitative violence” whatsoever; rather, it is the original and authentic work of genuine artists. Whether you like it or not.
