Seabuckthorn

Seabuckthorn is the project of Andy Cartwright, an English guitarist and producer based in the Southern French Alps. He plays mostly instrumental guitar music drawing on folk and contemporary music, and he also writes music for film, documentaries and contemporary dance. Cartwright released The Silence Woke Me (2012) on Bookmaker Records and Turns (2017) on Lost Tribe Sound, with William Ryan Fritch on double bass. He has also shared a release with Loscil on Thesis. The French label LAAPS issued Of No Such Place (2022) and A Path Within A Path (2025), on which Loscil appears again.
