Siavash Amini

Siavash Amini is an Iranian composer and producer based in Tehran. He works with drones, ambient textures, guitar and modern classical writing, and he has released records on Room40, Hallow Ground, Umor Rex and Opal Tapes. Siavash Amini spent most of his teenage years in southern Iran before his family moved to Tehran, where he studied classical guitar and later left university to concentrate on electronic music. He has also written music for film and theatre. His first album, Spotty Surfaces (2010), made with two other artists, was issued by the Tehran label Mahriz Recordings.
