Tarab

Tarab is the project name of Eamon Sprod, a sound artist who lives and works in Melbourne. Working from field recordings, he builds compositions out of the sound of neglected urban sites and from hands-on play with materials found there, such as rocks, scrap metal, glass and leaves. He calls the results careful arrangements of sonic rubbish. Eamon Sprod made his debut as Tarab with Surfacedrift, a CD on the Melbourne label Naturestrip built from field recordings and improvisations with found objects.
