Since 2009 Udo Schindler has been putting on concerts once a month in his own house outside Munich, inviting one or two musicians at a time and recording what happens. A good part of his discography comes from that room. He plays bass and contrabass clarinet, soprano and tenor saxophone and cornet, usually in duo, where the instrument is treated less as a voice than as a set of tubes, keys and breath to be taken apart. The partners change constantly, from Frank Gratkowski to Sebastiano Tramontana to the Rodrigues family, and the records come out on FMR, Creative Sources and his own Arch-Musik.
