Zelienople

Zelienople is a Chicago band formed by Matt Christensen, Brian Harding and Mike Weis. Its slow, hazy songs combine guitar, voice, clarinet and percussion with drones. The group released three albums on the Manchester label Type. Zelienople debuted with Pajama Avenue (2002) on the Chicago label Loose Thread, which also issued Sleeper Coach. His/Hers, Give It Up (2009) and The World Is A House On Fire (2012) followed on Type. Show Us The Fire (2015) was recorded live in Weis's basement, and Hold You Up appeared on Miasmah in 2020. Everything Is Simple came out on Shelter Press in 2024.
